Biertan Corner House

This two-bedroom house is facing the fortified church, in the center. Its yard is covered in grass and can be used as a secret location for quality star gazing at night.

House facilities: one double bedroom, one bedroom with twin beds plus a Saxon bed with a drawer, perfect for 1-2 kids, one bathroom, yard, shared kitchen (located outside).

The minimum number of guests per night is 2.

You are going to stay right in the middle of things, in the center of Saxon village which proudly hosts a monument enlisted on the UNESCO world heritage list. Standing in front of our house, you can see the fortified church.

This beautiful guest house embodies the essence of a traditional Transylvanian home, down to every last nook and cranny. The furniture and decorations have been handcrafted by the artisans of the village, keeping alive their centuries-old techniques.

This house belongs to MET, a foundation active in local heritage restoration for 20 years now. The place is administered by Experience Transylvania, a social business which involves local people and supports the local traditional lifestyle. Our house is an authentic Transylvanian house which helps travel back in time.

Ioana, the lady taking care of the house, will come to welcome you at the house, so please so kind to call her 2 hours before you arrive.

Your host Ioana cooks local traditional meals with recipes she learned from her mother and grandmother. Also, please note that is best to drink bottled water, rather than directly from the tap.
