Our house is located in a tiny Transylvanian village surrounded by wilderness. Prepare for the best night sleep you’ll ever get. The house has abundant natural light. If you reserve this house, you will have the entire place and yard to yourself. In April & October with traditional terracotta heater and other traditional fireplace. This house located in the center of a small, remote village which is surrounded by unspoiled nature. It is decorated in the traditional style with handcrafted objects that give it a unique charisma. In the yard of the house there’s a covered terrace you can use for lunch, reading or just admiring the beauty of nature. Your local hosts, Florin and his wife Liliana, are born here and have three children. They are shepards and have a sheepfold 5 minutes away. They cook very well and can spoil you a variety of local cheese, freshly produced. They master this ancient craft of cheese making following ancient traditional ways. After walking 15 minutes, you will reach a plateau with secular oak trees which is the perfect place for wondering about the essence of life or having a picnic. Local, authentic experiences you can book while staying here: guided walk through the surrounding forests and rolling hills and dinner cooked by shepards at a sheepfold nearby, bread making workshop. In April & October, this house is heated like in the old days, with traditional terracotta heater and other traditional fireplace. You will find the place warm, but you will have to continue feeding the fire and start it again in the morning if you feel it is necessary. We understand that while some might consider this charming, others would feel it is a bit too complicated for them. Florin and his wife can also be your guides in showing you the wild nature surrounding this place. You can book a three hours tour with them to visit the secular oak trees covering the plateau up the hill and also have a picnic up there or, if you want to have a special treat in a different setting, you can ask them to have dinner at their sheepfold one of the evenings. There might be some loud music coming from our neighbours. It is hard to tell whether they will do it this time, but it happens. Countryside is sometimes like that.
