The Peter Markel guesthouse once belonged to the wealthiest family in Viscri, with an attached rustic barn that was the largest in the village.In 2002, the house was in a severe state of degradation. The Mihai Eminescu Trust saved the house and the barn, turning it into an authentic Saxon guesthouse.
House facilities: 1 bedroom with a double bed and also one Saxon bed with a drawer (2 beds connected side by side), one bathroom, parking space, sharedterrace and yard.
Local, authentic experience you can book while staying here: observe the unspoiled nature surrounding Viscri during a short 2 hour horseback tour with lipizzan horses or take an entire day of and visit another traditional Saxon village nearby, lunch included. Go straight up on the main street of the village. After passing the first street to the right, leading to the fortified church, Viscri 63 will be the third house on the right side of the road. Blue house with wooden gates. Once you have passed the gate, your house is on the left side. For enjoying an authentic experience in the village, we strongly recommend you not to park on the streets. Please use the private parking available in the front yard of the house.
